펜화 일러스트레이터 이하정은 2023년, 세계를 여행하던 중 피렌체에서 세밀한 펜화의 매력에 빠져 펜을 들었다. 매일매일  '한국에서 온 여행자'라고 대답했던 삶을 마무리하고,  서울에 돌아와 한국적인 정서와 미학을 담은 브랜드 '뤼코뮤지엄(WRKOMUSEUM)'을 만들었다. 유무형의 유산을 펜 끝에 담아 전통의 아름다움을 고유한 매력으로 해석하고 있다.

빠르게 흘러가는 도시 속 삶에, 세밀한 펜화를 통해 다양한 각도에서 잠시 멈춰설 수 있는 최소한의 3초를 붙잡는 것이 작업의 동기이자, 현대인들에게 제안하는 커뮤니케이션 방식이다.

Pen-and-ink illustrator @leehaajung began drawing in 2023, while traveling the world. In Florence, she encountered the quiet power of detailed pen drawing—and picked up the pen for good. After a life of answering, “I’m a traveler from Korea,” she returned to Seoul and founded WRKOMUSEUM, a brand that captures Korean sensibility and aesthetics. Through fine pen lines, she interprets Korea’s tangible and intangible heritage, translating the beauty of tradition into a distinctive contemporary language.

In the fast-paced rhythm of urban life, her work seeks to hold on to a minimum of three seconds—a brief pause where one can stop, observe, and breathe. Through meticulous pen drawing, she offers this pause as both the motivation behind her work and a way of communicating with the modern world.
